Today the students of York University finally had a voice! Our rally was a huge success. Thank you to every one who came, made a sign, made a t-shirt, spoke out, and cheered.

We collected 592 new signatures on our petition today and got 195 letters written. This means that more than 500 people came to our rally. That's an amazing turn out for a first event! Most importantly: We're beginging to have our voices heard.

Peter Shurman, M.P.P. (Thornhill) attended and promised that he will help to make sure our voice is heard in the Ontario Legislature.

A few members and supporters of CUPE Local 3903 were also present. They respected our event and did not interrupt us. Everyone from all sides had the opportunity to speak with the news media and explain their perspectives.

All of the rally organizers are exhausted. So we're going to take a day or two off. But we know that we have to keep going if we're going to end the strike. Many students asked what will be the next steps. We invite all students who support us to contact us and share your ideas about how we can keep this moving.
